RECOMMENDED by Philadelphia Bar Association

The Philadelphia Bar Associations’s Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention
completed its review of Judge Washington’s qualifications for judicial office on the Court of Common
Pleas and determined that she merits a rating of "Recommended."

The Association's Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention evaluates judicial candidates to help voters make decisions about candidates for judicial office. The Commission's evaluations are based on criteria such as legal ability, experience, temperament, administrative ability, integrity and devotion to improvement of the quality of justice. This rating is attained through objective, nonpartisan investigations rate candidates to help voters make an informed decision.
